Abstract

The issue of slum upgrading involves multiple stakeholders in its resolution. The government serves as the authoritative entity responsible for launching programs to address this problem. In Indonesia, the government implemented the "Kampung Improvement Program" to mitigate slum issues, whereas Thailand initiated a similar program named "Baan Mankong." Both initiatives represent successful examples of slum upgrading programs, as both have delivered significant positive impacts on slum rehabilitation.
