Perancangan Sistem Informasi Absensi Pegawai Berbasis Web di BPSDM Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

This article discusses the design of a web-based employee attendance information system at the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of North Sumatra Province. The manual attendance system previously applied at this agency caused several problems, including inefficient and inaccurate recording, the risk of losing attendance sheets, delays in the compilation of attendance reports, low transparency, and difficulty in monitoring employee attendance in real time. This design was carried out using the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method, which includes the stages of Planning, Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing and Integration, and Maintenance, while the system modeling was carried out using the Unified Modelling Language (UML), consisting of use case diagrams, activity diagrams, sequence diagrams, and class diagrams. The design produced a web-based information system with employee and administrator login features, an employee profile page, a digital attendance form, attendance data storage, and an attendance data management page for administrators. This system is designed to help make the process of recording, managing, and reporting employee attendance data more structured, efficient, and accurate, and is expected to support administrative transparency at BPSDM of North Sumatra Province.
