Abstract

Data input and data management activities in the religious affairs field at the Regional Secretariat Office of North Sumatra Province are still carried out manually using spreadsheet applications, a practice that increases the risk of duplicate records, unrecorded distribution data, and slow recapitulation. This study aims to design a web-based information system to support more structured input and management of religious social-aid data. The system was developed using the Waterfall method, covering the stages of requirement analysis, design, and implementation of the design, and involves two main actors, namely admin and user. The design process produced a system architecture, database structure, and interface design represented through a use case diagram, a class diagram, and interface mock-ups. The resulting design consists of a web application with recipient-data input, aid-type management, and distribution-data management modules, each equipped with add, edit, and delete functions connected to a centralized database. The designed system is expected to help the office record data directly into a database, simplify recapitulation, and reduce the risk of duplicate or unrecorded entries, although these benefits remain potential and have not yet been proven through operational testing. Further development, particularly functional testing and user acceptance testing, is recommended before the system is implemented.
