Penyusunan Gambar Kerja Arsitektur Masjid Faturrahman Sebagai Dukungan Perencanaan Pembangunan Sarana Ibadah di Kota Binjai

Mosques function not only as places of worship but also as centres for social, educational, and community-empowerment activities, so their construction requires adequate technical planning documents, including working drawings. Masjid Faturrahman, located on Jalan Melinjo Lingkungan 2, Kelurahan Jati Karya, Kecamatan Binjai Utara, Kota Binjai, did not yet possess complete working drawings to guide its construction and development. This condition risked causing discrepancies between user needs and construction outcomes, as well as difficulties in preparing a cost budget plan and applying for development assistance. This community service activity aimed to assist the mosque management in preparing architectural working drawings that could serve as technical guidelines for construction. The methods applied were problem identification, field surveys, measurement of the existing building, discussion of spatial needs with the partner, design-concept development, preparation of working drawings using CAD software, and submission of the documents to the partner. The activity produced a set of working drawings consisting of a floor plan, elevation, and building visualisation that can be used for construction implementation and cost-budget preparation. The results indicate that the application of architectural knowledge through community service provides tangible benefits in supporting the development of a more planned, effective, and sustainable place of worship.
