Pengembangan dan Implementasi Sistem Informasi Layanan untuk Optimalisasi Pelayanan di Rumah Sakit Umum Mitra Medika Premiere Berbasis Website

Hospitals require accurate and efficient information systems to support their health-care operations. This article reports the development and implementation of a website-based service information system at Rumah Sakit Umum (RSU) Mitra Medika Premiere, Medan, carried out through a one-month work-practice program. The system was built to address delays in accessing patient information, inefficient visit management, and difficulties in monitoring treatment outcomes. Development followed the waterfall method, comprising requirement analysis, system design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. System design used Unified Modeling Language diagrams (use case, activity, sequence, and class diagrams) and an Entity-Relationship Diagram to model the database structure. The back end was built with PHP and MySQL, while Bootstrap, jQuery, and AJAX supported a responsive and dynamic front end, complemented by a RESTful API for inter-module communication. The resulting system provides modules for user management, patient administration, appointment scheduling, and digital medical records. Testing confirmed that the system functioned according to the defined requirements. The system is expected to reduce administrative workload, accelerate access to patient data, and improve the overall quality and efficiency of hospital services.
